Highlighting the launch of the new Thunderbolt mobile phone, the HTC application was an easy way to grab customers’ attention and have them spread the message by participating in a sweepstakes. The application has HTC branded object tags that launch the content when placed on the Microsoft® Surface® 1.0 table. The concept was to let users learn about the new device and sharing the excitement about winning a tropical vacation in Fiji, Singapore, the Philippines, or Peter Island.

The Thunderbolt was presented on screen through videos and texted content, as well as virtual postcards of the sweepstakes locations. Users entered to win the sweepstakes, serving as an email catching system – and they were then able to send branded E-Cards to their friends and family via email and Facebook for a powerful branding message.
